Warranty
Most refurbished laptops include a 12 month hardware warranty from the day you receive your order. Here is what is covered, what is not covered, and what to do if you need help.
12 month cover
Standard warranty is twelve months from receipt unless your order clearly states a longer term.
Hardware faults
The warranty covers hardware faults. Software and consumable items are excluded.
Battery window
Any failed battery must be reported within 30 days of receiving your item.
30 day guarantee
If you are unhappy with your laptop, contact us within 30 days to arrange return and refund.
What the warranty covers
All models include our standard hardware warranty unless your order confirms an alternative warranty period. If a hardware fault develops, contact us as soon as possible and we will help diagnose the issue.
Many issues can be resolved by phone or secure remote access, so please speak to us before sending anything back.
What is not covered
- Software problems, configuration issues, or installed applications.
- Consumable items, including batteries outside the 30 day reporting window.
- Misuse, accidental damage, liquid damage, or damage caused after delivery.
- Data loss. Please keep regular backups of important files.
Before repair
We are not responsible for data loss. Back up your files before returning a device wherever possible.
How to make a claim
Contact us first
Call 03300 888874 or email returns@refurbishedlaptops.co.uk as soon as the problem appears.
Send order details
Include your order number, the email used to order, or the serial number from the underside of the laptop or side of the PC.
Follow the return route
We will confirm whether the device should be collected, returned to base, repaired, or replaced.
Returns, repairs and replacements
First 30 days
During the DOA period we arrange courier collection when a confirmed fault needs return.
After 30 days
Return costs are the buyer's responsibility. A collection service is available for £12.
Safe packaging
Package the unit securely so it is protected in transit.
Repair or replace
If we cannot repair the fault, we replace it with the same or a higher specification model.
Repaired or replacement units are sent back to you free of charge. If a manufacturer warranty applies, we will help you contact the manufacturer or manage the process with them where appropriate.
